Prolongeva Journal

About

Straight answers about the midlife brain, for people who noticed something.

The Prolongeva Journal publishes plain-language guides on memory, cognition and metabolic health for readers roughly between 45 and 65 — the years when small changes are most worth acting on.

Hands slicing a red onion on a cutting board with a chef's knife.
The dull answers — sleep, movement, real food, blood pressure — are the ones with the evidence. That is most of what we write about.

What we cover

One subject, in depth: how the brain changes in midlife, what those changes mean, and what genuinely helps. That includes memory and attention, the sleep and blood-sugar and blood-pressure links to cognition, and honest reviews of the products marketed to this audience.

We do not chase headlines or cover everything. A tight focus is how a small independent site earns trust on a topic that matters.

How we research

Every guide is built the same way:

Who writes it

Articles are published by the Prolongeva Editorial Team and are research-based rather than personal. We are not doctors, and nothing here is written by a medical professional. We do not claim clinical credentials we do not have. What we offer is careful reading of the evidence, written in language that a non-specialist can use in a conversation with their own clinician.

How we handle money

This site earns income through affiliate links. If you click a link to a product such as Neuro Serge and buy it, we may receive a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra and does not change the price or any guarantee.

Our rules on that:

What we are not

This is not medical advice Nothing on this site can diagnose a condition or replace an assessment by a qualified clinician who knows your history. If you are worried about your memory, or someone else's, the right next step is always a conversation with a doctor — not a supplement, and not an article.

We also do not sell a product of our own, run a newsletter that upsells a course, or use scare tactics. If a page ever reads that way to you, tell us.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it in the article itself and add a short note of what changed and when. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong on a health topic. Where a guide depends on evidence that is still developing, the article says so in plain terms rather than presenting it as settled.
